Machine Introduction
Subcritical fluid extraction
Subcritical fluid extraction is a fluid diffusion separation and extraction technology. Compared with supercritical CO2 extraction technology, it has the advantages of low operating pressure, simple process, low energy consumption, low investment, and easy industrialized mass production. It can solve the defects of small volume, high cost, high energy consumption and large scale industrial production of supercritical extraction equipment. Compared with traditional solvent extraction, subcritical fluid extraction has the advantages of normal temperature extraction, low temperature desolvation, protein invariance, non-oxidation of oil, no destruction of active ingredients, easy removal of solvent, and reduced emissions of "three wastes".
Definition of subcritical fluids.
The state in which the solvent exists in a liquid state at a pressure higher than its boiling point but below its critical temperature is defined as the subcritical state of the solvent, which is also the liquefaction state of the gas. The process of extracting in this state of the solvent is called a subcritical extraction process.
The type of subcritical fluid.
The boiling point of the solvent suitable for subcritical extraction is generally below 0 ° C, and the liquefaction pressure at 20 ° C is below 0.8 MPa (gauge pressure). For example, the working pressure of butane under large-scale production conditions is 0.4 MPa, and the extraction temperature is normal temperature or below 40 degrees.
Commonly used subcritical solvents are: propane, butane, dimethyl ether, tetrafluoroethane (R134a), liquid ammonia, water
The basic principle of subcritical fluid extraction.
When the temperature of the solvent substance is higher than its boiling point, it exists in a gaseous state, and is subjected to a certain pressure compression to be liquefied. In this state, the solvent which is used for substance extraction is a subcritical extraction solvent by utilizing the physical properties of similar compatibility. The extraction process is called a subcritical extraction process. The boiling point of the solvent suitable for subcritical extraction is lower than the ambient temperature around us. Generally, the boiling point is below 0 ° C, and the liquefaction pressure at 20 ° C is below 0.8 MPa. The material is subjected to countercurrent extraction with a liquefied subcritical solvent at a normal temperature and a certain pressure, and the obtained extract is evaporated under reduced pressure at a normal temperature to separate the solvent from the extracted target component to obtain a (crude grade) product. The vaporized solvent is recycled after being recompressed and liquefied. The solvent in the raffinate is also recycled and liquefied for reuse. It should be noted that when the solvent is vaporized from the material, it needs to absorb heat (the latent heat of vaporization), so the heat should be added to the material during evaporation and desolvation; when the solvent gas is compressed and liquefied, heat will be released (hydraulic latent heat), and the process is large. Part of the heat can be saved by heat exchange between the gasification and the liquefied solvent.
Extraction process
This equipment uses butane as the extraction solvent, and it is divided into four parts: 1. Extraction system; 2. Mixed oil evaporation system; 3. Circulation system; 4. Solvent recovery system.
